Yuki Nakagawa / Tokyo Ska Musume
Yuki Nakagawa, a dancer and Toho actress. Her father is Saburo Nakagawa, "the father of Japanese disco." Saburo collaborated with record companies and officially announced almost every "new rhythm dance style." (Appeared as a top tap dancer in the NHK morning drama "Boogie Woogie") He was called the "Jazz King of the Orient" and taught steps at dance halls throughout the country. Later, he opened Japan's first disco in Ebisu, and Yuki Nakagawa, his daughter, was the owner, hence the name "Yuki a Go-Go." Go-go girls and bands were popular, and they expanded to Shinjuku, Yurakucho, and Yokohama. And they also sang and danced ska. The photo on the back of the jacket shows the first ska steps taken in Japan. It sweetly follows Millie Small. Her father, Saburo, also explained ska songs and dances on the back of the first domestic ska introduction LP "Jamaica Ska" released in 1964 with an obi. It cannot be simply categorized as the first original Japanese ska. The real foundation of Japanese dance hall culture. The disco scene started with this father and daughter.

The B-side also reaches the highest peak. Performed by the Crown Orchestra, "Ska de Odorou" with lyrics by Tetsuro Hoshino, should be re-evaluated as the earliest Japanese ska. Along with Mari Umeki's "My Boy Lollipop" and Yuki Nakagawa's "Tokyo Ska Musume," they represent the top 3 of the era. Released in 1964. It was played in Showa dance halls along with Millie Small.
